Chaat Masala


Ingredients:

1 tbsp Cumin Seeds

1/2 tblsp dried Mint Leaves

1/4th tsp Carom seeds

1/4th tsp Asafoetida  Powder

21/2 tblsp dried Mango Powder

5 Cloves

1 tsp Ginger Powder

1 tsp Cayenne

1/4 tsp Tartaric Acid

1 tblsp Black Pepper corns

2 tsp Salt

Method:
1.Put cumin seeds, black peppercorns, cloves, dried mint leaves, carom seeds and asafetida powder in a pan and heat gently, shaking the pan from time to time till the spices began to smell fragrant.

2. Remove from heat add rock salt and grind while still warm.

3.Mix in all other ingredients, cool and store tightly bottled.

You can buy Chaat masala powder which I do. The best brand is Shan.
